Housing Project Complete!
This is our COMPLETED housing project!
It took most of the trimester but it was completely worth it!!
Please take your time and look at what all was created!
Hisham created a beautiful house with a dome roof. These first graders can tell you the benefits for having a roof like this in an extremely hot environment... do YOU know??
Fatmata created a cute hut. Her roof was made of sticks just like you would find in a Sierra Leonean village!
Very impressive house created by Atoumane!! The orange trees and apple trees are things that can grow perfectly in a hot climate!
Youssef's smile says it all! He is very happy with the results of his colorful clouds that have snow flurries coming down. Check out that house! There's snow on the roof!!
Zara loved creating her hut! She even included her mom, dad, sister and the Pakistani flag! She understood that huts are found in sandy areas so she asked for gold glitter to be placed at the bottom of the page to represent the sand! CREATIVE!
Marcus took his hut tribal life seriously! Look at that face! He drew an active picture representing the path a villager would take around the coconut trees, tigers and papaya trees! This boy knows village life!
Coco's house found in a hot environment was beautifully constructed. Her picture was beautiful representing a dog, a cat, and herself (dressed appropriately) getting ready to slide down the slide! How fun!!
Zara had a blast at constructing her cold house! She understood that snow is not only on the roof of a house but also along the base of the house! She wanted snowflakes all over her page and was quick to point out a spot that I forgot to put glue!
Joelle was very percise about making sure all animals and plants were depicted correctly. Her percision made for a beautiful picture! There is a polar bear, an igloo and several trees with no leaves! (<---- WOW!)
